When I was little, I had several favourite cakes. One was my Mum’s butterfly cakes, another was birthday cake. But today I went back to a different one of my favourite cakes – the krispie cake!
Possibly one of the easiest cakes that you can make almost instantly, and the krispie cake is so yummy.
120g Rice Krispies
300g plain or milk chocolate
1 tbsp golden syrup
1. Melt the syrup and chocolate together over a pan of simmering water
2. Stir the chocolate to make sure there are no lumps
3. Pour in the rice krispies and coat them in the chocolate
4. Spoon the chocolate covered krispies into paper cases and leave to set in a cool place
I’m not sure if you can really call this a cake, but as far as I’m concerned it’s chocolatey and yummy!
I decided to add a bit of Easter to some of my krispie cakes by sitting a mini creme egg on top:
