Pancakes, pancakes, pancakes

It’s back. Pancake Day returns tomorrow, and even though I dislike pancakes, I can’t help but look forward to it. My Mum on the other hand loves pancakes. So we decided to make a few this weekend.

Photo of savoury pancakes.

The first were these savoury crepe pancakes for brunch. We flipped them like pros and topped them with fried bacon and bananas, finishing with a drizzle of maple syrup. These were my favourite (yes I ate them).

Later, we made drop scones (the pancakes I grew up with in Scotland) and topped them with berries and kiwi, a drizzle of lemon juice and a dusting of icing sugar. Good shout, they were delicious (well, as delicious as pancakes can be – in my opinion).

We spent the rest of this cold, rainy Sunday watching a Bollywood film (Dum Laga Ke Haisha) with our labradoodle sleeping on our feet. Loved it.

How will you be making your pancakes?

Eve x
